First encounter

Kankuro is about to challenge Sasuke to a fight, when Gaara suddenly intervenes. The very first look at Gaara we get, is him standing upside-down in a tree... o.o Everyone is surprised at his sudden appearance, including Sasuke, who notes that Gaara's sneakyness rivals the one of Kasashi... 
Gaara tells Kankuro to quit fighting, or he'll kill him. Kankuro is obviously very distressed about this. They're about to leave, when Sakura stops them, and asks why they're there anyway - ninjas from other villages 
should ask permission before entering another village. Temari answers that they're there for the Chuunin examination, and explains (to the clueless gang) what that is. Suddenly Sasuke interveres, to ask about Gaara's name... Gaara also wants to know who Sasuke is, but just ignores Naruto before they leave... << previous | index | next >>
