Ok, here's the deal... I'm a yaoi fangirl. I don't care much for most Boy x Girl pairings, with the notable exception of Lee/Sakura... So I'm not even going to bother pretending there is a girl you could pair Gaara up with... Because, well... Go ahead and sign my guestbook if you can name one girl that Gaara even looked at. No, Temari doesn't count, because that's his sister. @_@ As for the finer aspects of yaoi-ness... seme or uke? It's up to you, I'd say. I like Gaara-uke. Why? *shrug* Because. ^_^
Sasuke & Gaara - Ah, Sasuke. I never really payed much attention to him when I read the manga. Until Gaara showed up, that is. In the anime, it's even more obvious. Ever noted how Sasuke seems uninterested in just about everything, until Gaara shows up? Gee, the guy even _smiles_ when he realises he's got an adversary worth the name! And Gaara's character info file thingy claims his fave opponent would be Sasuke. There's mutual interest here you can twist in just about any weird direction, if you ask me. My fave aspect of this one is that Sasuke was the first (?) one to ever manage to injure Gaara... Basically, Sasuke taught Gaara what pain is. I imagine he'll remember that one for quite a while. And maybe be back for seconds? Yay, angst!
Naruto/Gaara - They're pretty much the same, aren't they? Naruto knows this and soon enough Gaara will figure it out too. In my mind, he'll come back and ask Naruto to teach him about life. In a very indirect way, naturally. I could make a fluff fic out of that one. (Naruto: why the hell do you keep following me around?!) *_* Ehm, yeah... Gaara will remember that meeting too, since Naruto taught him about the more practical uses of love... Not to mention that seal Naruto has. I bet Gaara would be really interested in it. *grin* Yeah, I can see Naruto and Gaara being friends in the future.
Lee/Gaara - Ehe. Now don't look at me like that! I just find this coupling quite amusing. I think Gaara is still a bit puzzled why Gai protected Lee like that. And we can tell Gaara thinks about Lee, since he made to effort to find his hospital room to go kill him after that match... A dedicated yaoi fan doesn't need more encouragement than that. ^_~Updated: 15 May 2003
