So, if the "gourd" is nothing but sand, who decided it should be gourd shaped anyway? Couldn't it have been a gigantic teddy bear instead?

Does Gaara wear underwear?

The sand protects Gaara from injuring himself, so what about the tattoo? It bled when he made it, and I bet it hurt too. Why did the sand allow that?
